Information on respiratory infections including COVID-19

Overview

We are closely monitoring and proactively responding to the developments in Australia associated with respiratory infections including COVID-19. We are staying aware of the most current recommendations from both the Australian Government and local public health units.

We want to reassure our patients and visitors that we have comprehensive, robust infection prevention and control procedures in place to manage any potential infections conditions in our facilities.

Our procedures and protocols are designed to keep our patients, visitors and health care workers safe. These measures include risk assessments, use of PPE such as masks where required, comprehensive cleaning programs and workforce vaccination for specific vaccine preventable infections.

All of our actions are aligned with public health guidelines and are implemented in consultation with our national clinical governance unit.

To support the organisations actions, it is very important for all patients, visitors and health care workers to be vigilant to observe for symptoms of respiratory infections and avoid attending our facilities while symptomatic, unless accessing the facility for treatment.

Our focus has been – and will always be – on people caring for people; it’s at the centre of everything we do. Thank you for making us a part of your health care journey.
